Our core foundations which are cemented in Christianity and the teachings of Jesus Christ, teach us that we should "love our neighbour as ourselves". Many times the Bible teaches us that we should help those in need. 1 John 3:17 says, "But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?". Therefore, our duty out of love is to help the homeless and those in need.
Founder of Three Sixteen Ministries Nick Stevens has been helping the homeless for the past eight years. Before Three Sixteen became an official ministry in 2018, Nick used to help and feed people out of his pocket, with no other financial support. In the last three years since becoming an official ministry and getting better financial support. We have helped many who sleep on the streets, and in cars find homes. We have also connected with other services providers in the community to help achieve this goal.
Loving God. Loving People.
Sometimes homelessness can occur from someone moving to a new area and losing their job, and not having anyone to help out. Other times it can be something as simple as not being able to afford housing. It can also be from other causes, like losing a loved one.
